Day 16 - Chapter 16

Day 16 – Chapter 16

Every day I read a chapter; there are so many things that are said over and over. For obvious reasons- we are thick headed and need to hear it numerous times. But one thing that stood out right away in this chapter was verse 3. “Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place.” I love this, so many times we try to accomplish things on our terms and forget who should be running the show. I think about the times I have relied on the everyone around me, maybe my ‘goal’ was accomplished but it was done in a manner that came with hurt… than I think about goals that I have reached and allowed God to fully direct and guide me and I realize there may have been some hurt but it was easier to shake off.

I have personally found this to be true and I am actually very excited to have found this verse, 7 (NIV) “when a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace.” Or (Message) “When God approves of your life, even your enemies will end up shaking your hand.”

Vs 10, “A good leader motivates, doesn’t mislead, doesn’t exploit.” Sometimes this can be rather draining, it’s easy to want to just enjoy my time selfishly, but motivating others and getting them involved is something we all need to do, to get out of the comfort zone of our friends!

Vs 16 “Get wisdom- its worth more than money; choose insight over income every time.”

MY FAVORITE VERSE OF THE CHAPTER: I have lived through this, this past year- and want to continue living it out! Vs 20 “It pays to take life seriously; things work out when you trust in God.” TRUST TRUST TRUST- put it all on God’s plate and it’s unbelievable what He will do with it!

And it all boils down to: vs. 33, “Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say.”

So why not choose his way???
