Day 12 – Chapter 12
‘If you Love Learning’ is how the message bible titles this chapter…. What a way to get my attention! I want to learn and soak up all that I can; I want to daily bathe in God’s word and love.
The first verse that really stood out to me in the chapter in vs 4, “A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.” I feel very strongly that society has stripped the relationship that God established between husband and wife. We have allowed society to de-maculate men for all the wrong reasons. Instead of submitting (I know this word freaks people out but in all honesty it is NOT intended to be a negative word like slavery etc…) allowing men to be the head of the house and the spiritual head; woman have said we want to be as strong. I think it’s sad that a few women have shaped than minds of my generation into that idea that we almost need to be stronger, better income than our husbands. This verse reminds me of the wife that God has called me to be and I want nothing more to adore my husband, encourage him, support him and love him. We have let society dictate to us how to be wives instead of God- I know this is my calling in life – to bring Godly wife back into relationships and encourage, teach other women. It’s all in proverbs 31!
I feel as though there is nothing else today that I want to touch on, the chapter has amazing insight into different things- liars, sinners, cheaters, evil schemers- but my paragraph on vs 4 is the major player into today’s topic.
