Job 3
Job 3
Wow!
My heart was saddened for Job in the chapter. The reference In my bible describes this chapter like this:
"Job's very existence, which has been a joy to him because of God's favor, is now his intolerable burden. He is as close as he will ever come to cursing God, but he does not do it. "
In conversation with my husband, he brought me to this passage.
Hosea 6:1-3
"Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence. Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth." (Hosea 6:1-3 NIV)
I would love to have been there to encourage Job. But I am here now to encourage those that God brings along my path.
I want to restate verse 1 in Hosea 6....,
"Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds. (Hosea 6:1 NIV)
